Web Automation Engineer

Our client is looking for an engineer with an eye for web automation. You will work on the execution of machine learning systems that predict how to interact with websites. This also means working with a team who are passionate about the future of commerce and artificial intelligence.

We need you to:

  • Identify and implement ways to improve the web automation execution services
  • Develop clean, reusable and modular code for web automation services
  • Create systems that enable the neural networks to do their jobs: automate, improve or replace old-fashion processes.

This is what we think you'll need:

  • Computer Science background - strong ability to reverse engineer code
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, DOM elements, UI frameworks and event propagation mechanics
  • Web scraping/automation libraries: (Selenium, Puppeteer, Phantom, etc..)
  • Understanding of http protocols, how the web works, automated web requests and bot-prevention techniques

These are the nice to haves:

  • E-commerce web automation experience
  • Good understanding of web browser internal operations (e.g HTML Parsers, Rendering Engines, Stacking Contexts)
  • Backend engineering (Node.js / Python)
  • AWS cloud and Microservices architecture
  • Docker and Kubernetes
